Just as summer torpor threatened to overtake me, someone on social media asked me if I might be interested in a success story interview. That someone is Michael Dinich, founder of Your Money Geek. His website offers a unique and highly creative approach to finance, spiked with geek culture and other current topics of interest. I recommend you check out all his articles!

I was honored to be asked. At first I had one of those “Imposter Syndrome” moments, like “How can I be considered a success story?” But then I thought, hey, wait a minute! I came a long way from that first unpublished novel written in my youth to the release of my first published novel in May 2018, Heliopause: The Questrison Saga: Book One! And as of now, I have had three different book signings. Signed copies of my book are at San Diego Comic-Con this weekend, too! If someone had told me a year ago–or heck, even this spring!–that I would have these opportunities, I would have made a raspberry sound of disbelief. Yet here I am. In awe of what’s happened so far, and delighted by the response of the book and the people I’ve met. So, YES! That’s a success story!

Mr. Dinich kindly sent me many great questions via email. This process gave me the flexibility and time to give him and everyone a reasoned response.
