Hi all! Happy Spring!
I just finished writing a scene from Book FOUR of The Questrison Saga today! And yes, I do plan out my entire series. And I tend to write sequentially. But sometimes a future scene that I’ve been thinking about really crystallizes, and I have to get it down. This has happened with each of the four books in my series at some point.
As for Book Two, I have several updates.
First, all edits and proofreading are complete and have been addressed or incorporated. The main copy edit happened in December. The final proofread, by a second editor, was completed last week. I immediately went through the manuscript to finish that up.
I also used software to make the eBook version of Book Two.
Now the interior of the book is in the hands of the designer, Robin Winters, for the paperback version. He’s also making the cover.
The cover art, once again by Leon Tukker, is complete. I’ve seen a mock-up of the cover by Robin (you can glimpse that in the header above), and you can immediately tell it’s in the same series.
The reaction to the cover art, by those very few people who have seen it, has been extremely satisfying.
So what happens next? Once I have the final cover formatted, the paperback interior formatted, and all the files ready, I will upload them to the bookmaker’s site.
I hope to offer pre-orders for the book in late April. I am timing this with the cover reveal. My goal is a late May publication.
Stay tuned! And if you’re not already signed up for my newsletter, Notes from the Spiral Arm, do so. The signup is on my home page at the bottom of the page. Newsletter subscribers will see the cover to book two FIRST, as a thank you for signing up to get exclusive info!
I also have some crazy-great things planned for special items to go with Book Two, like swag. Stay tuned for that as well!
As always, thank you so much for supporting my work.
