Making their official debut in Ephemeris: The Questrison Saga®: Book Two, the Neuronids reside hidden in the waters of certain worlds. They are one of the few species of beings that can interact with the Innervation. Paosh Tohon threatens that dimension of consciousness, which spans galaxies, committing atrocities to try to gain entry. Much of that is revealed in the finale, Luminiferous: The Questrison Saga®: Book Four.

In Ephemeris, Galla-Deia encounters one of the Neuronids on the planet Perpetua. Living in a quiet lake in a forest not far from Kein’s house, he does not accept that these beings even exist. Because for him to believe that, he would need to give up all that he loves to join the fight out in the galaxy. That includes his husband, Rez.

Yet they have been calling to his mind from the woods since he was born…

In this scene Accretion: The Questrison Saga®: Book Three, the Neuronids reveal to Galla what she must do to stop the great cataclysm called the Event. She will need to end the Event before she can then fight Paosh Tohon. She encounters their relatives on another world during her training, and her path becomes clearer. 

These neuron-like beings create a bubble for those who cannot breathe underwater.
